Profile.

I am curious and determined IT Technician with an eagerness to learn new skills. I have been working in IT Support for over 5 years TODO:: I have just finished my Level 3 two year course in Networking, Systems and Support in Cardiff and Vale College. I am now looking to start my career thorough either full time employment or doing a higher apprenticeship. Through my course I have realised that my passion would be to work with network infrastructure and maintenance.

In college I won the Silver Award in IT Network Security at the Skills Competition Wales Final. In 2017 I was the winner of the World Skills UK Regional Competition, Network Infrastructure Technician.

In addition, I have extensive knowledge of many computer packages and systems.

In the Linux, *BSD and UNIX-Like space I have knowledge of Gentoo’s Portage, FreeBSD Ports and pkg, Apache2, nginx, MariaDB/MySQL, PostgreSQL, Emacs, Vim, ee (easy editor), Git, Wireshark, tshark, nmap, tcpdump, gcc, clang, luks-lvm.

In the Windows universe I have knowledge of AD (Active Directory) account creation, AD advanced attributes, GP (Group Policy) creation, advanced GP editing, VMware vSphere management, Veeam backup solutions, Windows sysinternals, Windows internals, WinGet, PowerShell, Office 365 installation and configuration, SCCM imaging.

Skills.

Networking and Security Knowledge.

Programming languages: I am familiar with UNIX Shell (mostly Bash and C Shell), Python 3, PHP7, PowerShell, CSS 3, JavaScript (ECMAScript 6) and HTML 5. I have recently learned C# where I have learned to create and program in-depth Windows Forms applications with real-world functions, such as: User input and saving user input to files through file IO. I am also studying C++ (Qt5 graphical toolkit), C (low-level programming) and a bit of Perl 5.

Pentesting: Packet sniffing using nmap, tcpdump and Wireshark flags (i.e. ip.src, telnet, etc.) In addition, I am very interested in learning: Metasploit and SSL Stripping.

Viruses and other Malware: Currently I am looking at CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures), databases and software exploits, which I find enjoyable and am extremely eager to learn more about.

Voluntary Work.

I previously volunteered as an in-house assistant at the Sherman Theatre on a weekly basis.

Interests and hobbies.

I enjoy learning languages, linguistics, language history, language etymology, language morphology, psychology, cars, mechanics, car-modding and lots more subjects in the STEM field of subjects.

I have a black-belt in Wado-Ryu Karate-Do as I previously used to train in Karate-Do. But I now focus my exercise more on yoga, tai-chi and qi-gong.
